Top Shortest TV Series Online

Published on

Binge-watching is great! Sitting on your sofa with junk food in your hands or lying in bed watching one episode after another of your favourite TV series, must be one of the greatest things for couch potatoes like me. We don’t really care about dressing up and going into town to sip martinis and laugh hysterically with our girlfriends, we are happy in our bubble. We just want to know if Piper will ever get out of prison, or what happened to Saul after getting his own TV show.

Nevertheless, apart from the weekend, there are other days in our lives when we have to present ourselves in places with desks and swivel chairs, to do what’s paying for Netflix or Amazon Video. Work. Yes, most people that love binge-watching, have work to do, and unfortunately can’t spend all day trying to see when they’ll catch that horrible Pablo Escobar, or how was Megan Markle as an actress, before becoming a princess.

I could always download the TV series I love and watch them during my commute. Thing is, I want to give my full attention to the story, and I can’t possibly miss my stop again because of an episode’s culminating moment!

Ideally, I should watch only TV series that last 20 minutes or so, perfect for a London commute, your lunch break and easy to binge before, during or after dinner. But the question arises. What are the top shortest tv series online? Below is a list of the best three in my opinion:

1. Catastrophe

Hooray, there is still room for a little rom-com. Catastrophe is the story of Rob, an American ad executive that has a one-week stand with Sharon, a London schoolteacher, who accidentally gets pregnant. Rob moves to the UK to do the right thing but finds himself overwhelmed by cultural differences, hormones and the fact that the two don’t know anything about each other.

    2. Mozart in the jungle

A TV series that has it all! Music, ambition, sex, and love all condensed into half-hour episodes. Comedy and drama mix together in this Amazon-exclusive TV series, where the maestro Rodrigo takes on the challenge of leading the New York Symphony Orchestra, and young oboist Hailey tries to become a musical success.

      3. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

It’s just too much fun not to watch. This typical American sitcom revolves around the immature, but talented police detective Jake Peralta and his very peculiar colleagues. Jake finds himself in conflict with his new commanding officer Holt, a serious and extremely stern captain.

Other TV series you shouldn’t miss are:

        • Divorce - starring Sex and the city sweetheart Sarah Jessica Parker.
        • Friends - yes, it’s on Netflix now, don’t you want to re-binge Ross and Rachel's love life?
        • The Mindy Project – not to miss!
        • Silicon Valley – forget The Big Bang Theory, these are the Nerds to watch.
        • Comedians in cars getting coffee – You shouldn’t really ask why, but just watch it!
